About MindLeap

Built around how you learn

Tutoring should feel like working with someone who knows you — not someone running a script. We kept that idea and built everything else around it.

Why we started

Most students who struggle in math don't have a knowledge problem. They have a confidence problem dressed up as one.

Somewhere along the way a topic clicked for everyone else and didn't click for them — and the feeling of falling behind quietly became its own obstacle.

We've watched what happens when a student finally gets a tutor who actually listens. Someone who notices the specific spot where things went sideways, sits with them on it, and walks forward from there. Confidence rebuilds in a session or two. Grades follow.

MindLeap exists to make that experience the default, not the exception.

How we tutor

Three things we get right, on purpose

We listen first

Every session starts with what you're stuck on, not where the syllabus says you should be. The fastest path forward begins where you actually are.

Mistakes are the curriculum

Wrong answers aren't failures — they're the map. We mine them for what's missing, and practice between sessions targets exactly those gaps.

No mystery progress

You and your parents see what's clicking and what's still hard. Plain language, no charts to decode, no end-of-month surprises.

Meet the people you'll work with

Subject specialists who genuinely like teaching — math majors, engineers, teachers, and grad students who remember what it took to learn this stuff, and the spots where it bent.
